I have problem in view which have a exposed filter as user entity field. username/Author works as Entity reference in exposed form but I have few other user reference field which I would like to exposed as entity autocomplete field. But unfortunately it shows as just text field when I tried to filter with those values. I found a way around it and solve it.
I've created a view with path
/user/%/articles to list all articles authored by the user, and now I want to add it as a tab on the user profile page. I tried to configure the menu in the view's configuration page but I can't tell what should be used as the parent menu.
Does anybody know how to do this correctly?
Figured this out. Drupal 8
Menu: User account menu > My account
With Drupal 7 there is now the search API. Apart from the existing database (that uses the same DB as drupal to index with) and Solr integration there are a few other backend options available too. As the open source community is quite prolific, a few supporting modules to allow fuzzy searching, multi index searching, saved searches, autocompletion, attachment indexing and more have sprung up. See the Search API project page for more detail.
Here's how we set up the database indexing:
This tutorial will guide you to disable custom views when you are disabling module from the system. You need put the code in mymodule.install
Sample code in your .module file for Drupal 7 as follow :-
This Drupal module attempts to provide context for content items by displaying a view block with links to other similar content. Similarity is based on the taxonomy terms assigned to content. Views are available based on similarity within each of the defined vocabularies for a site as well as similarity within all vocabularies.
What does this really mean? How should you use this module?
